BE A FRIEND OF THE FAIR!
Founded in 1906, the State Fair of Louisiana has a rich, long history of promoting and developing agriculture in the State of Louisiana. The State Fair of Louisiana has also assisted in developing and educating our youth by providing a venue to 4-H and FFA members to compete in a wide array of activities including: livestock competitions, competitive exhibits, public speaking competitions, wood working, metal working, cooking competitions, talent shows, quiz bowls and more. The State Fair of Louisiana serves many other youth by providing educational exhibits, opportunities to enter competitions and entertainment.
The State Fair of Louisiana serves its community by providing a place for families to put their troubles behind and enjoy quality time together. Many memories have been made at the State Fair of Louisiana. Not only does the State Fair of Louisiana provide a better quality of life for the citizens of its community, but it also provides a tremendous economic impact. It has been researched by LSUS Center for Business that the State Fair of Louisiana provides an annual economic impact of over $24 million.
