State Fair of Louisiana: Code Of Conduct Policy

  • Appropriate attire at all times. Shirt and shoes are required - No exposed underwear, baggy pants below waist, gang colors or gang signs.
  • Gang related dress and activities are prohibited.
  • No disorderly, disruptive conduct or behavior that endangers others - skateboarding, roller blades, bicycles, radios, cat calls, profanity, etc.
  • Any federal, state, or local criminally recognized act or group is prohibited.
  • No picketing, distributing handbills, soliciting, or petitioning without management approval.
  • No demonstrating, protesting or gathering in large groups inside the State Fair of Louisiana.
  • No pets allowed in public areas except service animals.
  • Use trash receptacles.
  • No loitering, blocking storefronts, or walking groups that inconvenience others.
  • School truancy policy enforced.
  • No alcoholic beverages may be consumed beyond the State Fair gated areas (ie: parking lots)
  • Smoking prohibited in all buildings.
  • No firearms, knives or other weapons are allowed, regardless of whether bearer holds a concealed weapons permit; law enforcement officers are excluded. Guests will be scanned for metal objects upon entry.
  • No food is permitted in the livestock barns.
  • No food or drink is permitted to be brought into the gates of the State Fair.
  • Please be aware of signage inside fair and follow all rules and recommendations regarding carnival rides, animal exhibits, etc.
  • No re-entry into State Fair gates are allowed unless you purchase another admission ticket or unless approved by State Fair of Louisiana staff.
  • This list is not all inclusive and may be modified at any time by the management.
